I like the facial expressions on the faces. These are very scattered. But I really like the wolf and the first design on here. I like the last one too because it reminds me of kindergarden class at art time because of the color blue you chose, the cloud shapes, and the way this composition is set up.
i know how you feel about Illustrator. i had used it before, but with so much photoshop, and using InDesign for Design System classes, i kind of forgot how to use it. it's good that you've been able to translate imagery similar to what what used in the animation, into vector form, but it would have been great to see more experimentation with the different tools and effects, like in the horse/dog looking one. that one is fantastic, def the strongest piece. Also, i like that you use text in your work. adds another dimension to the piece.
I like the use of gradient and that handwritten approach in the "mouse" image. The way it is written evokes a sense of wordplay; one would expect the text to be straight and lined-up if it were for a computer mouse description. I think it would work better if you had given a better indication of space, or just not erratically color the planes of that panel like that.
the first two and the last one is my FAVS. they have a child like quality to them--i'm really enjoying them!!
ReplyDeleteI agree they remind me of kid-like illustrations. They're a lot of fun
ReplyDeleteI like that you used your own designs rather than using the shape tool
ReplyDeleteyoure funny. the wolf and the first image are my favorite. the most controlled.
ReplyDeleteI like how sketchy the first two are, and that you included a background and text too!
ReplyDeletevery rough and messy, like the wolf esque looking thing though, very cool
ReplyDelete.... I still like the woman below....
